Folktown Art Fayre makes a difference
Creative Minds Coming Together To Make A Difference
10th August 2013, 10am-4pm in Berry Street Presbyterian Church, Berry St, Folktown
Newly qualified, Belfast based Jeweller, Niamh MacAuley, has taken her passion and is using it to transform the lives of others. She is planning an exhibition for next month to raise money for The Welcome Organisation in Belfast.
The Welcome Organisation is a housing and homelessness charity in Belfast. Niamh has teamed up with them, using her brand new range of jewellery to raise money for those in need.
The fayre will be taking place in Folktown – situated in the city centre – on the 10th of August from 10am to 4pm. The event will showcase the work of around 8-10 budding new artists, all of whom will be donating 10% of their profits made to The Welcome Organisation.
Niamh spoke of the event, commenting: “The jewellery I have designed is from my degree show in the Art College. The range is inspired by ‘the home’ – a shell in which we hold our most precious objects. While studying this topic, I realised how I take my home for granted and wanted to use what I’d created to make a difference”.Back to News Headlines
